Woensdagochtend omstreeks 05.15 uur is brandweer Alblasserdam opnieuw opgeroepen om langs de Kabelbaan in Alblasserdam hooibalen te blussen.

Ter plaatse bleek het om een kleine hoop uitelkaar gehaald hooi te zijn dat weer was gaan broeien en branden. De brandweer bluste opnieuw dat gedeelte van de hoop strobalen, en haalde tegelijkertijd met hooivorken de boel uitelkaar. Na ongeveer 15 minuten was het vuur uit. En kon de brandweer door naar de volgende melding.

On Wednesday morning around 05.15 am, the Alblasserdam fire brigade was again called upon to extinguish hay bales along the Kabelbaan in Alblasserdam.

On the spot it turned out to be a small pile of hay that had been scalding and burning again. The fire brigade again extinguished that part of the heap of straw bales, and at the same time dismantled it with pitchforks. After about 15 minutes the fire was out. And the fire brigade was able to proceed to the next call.
