Alblasserdam
Op zondagmiddag 1 mei 2022 is de Alblasserdamse brandweer opgeroepen voor een bermband op het Nieuwland Parc.
Langs het fietspad ter hoogte van Kleijn transport zag een voorbijgaande fietster de berm branden waarop de brandweer werd gebeld. De brandweer kwam ter plaatse en bluste de brand. De brandweer gebruikte een dompellaar om voldoende bluscapaciteit te hebben. Na ongeveer 35 minuten was de brand onder controle en ging de brandweer retour kazerne. Over de oorzaak van de brand is niks bekend.
On Sunday afternoon, May 1, 2022, the Alblasserdam fire brigade was called up for a verge tire at the Nieuwland Parc.
Along the cycle path near Kleijn Transport, a passing cyclist saw the roadside burning and the fire brigade was called.
The fire brigade arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire. The fire brigade used an immersion heater to have sufficient extinguishing capacity. After about 35 minutes, the fire was under control and the fire brigade returned to the station. Nothing is known about the cause of the fire.
